Employers may elect to undertake the recruitment of employees internally using their own resources or outsource the recruitment process to an external recruitment agency.
In such instances Employers may only engage the services of those agencies included in the Church’s panel of preferred recruitment providers; provided that where none of the panel of preferred recruitment providers offer services to a specific industry, alternate providers can be selected in consultation with Human Resource Services – Uniting Resources.

PROCEDURE
- Once a decision to use the panel of preferred recruitment providers is made, the recruiting manager should:
- Comply with the requirements of Section 2.1 – Recruitment Process;
- Contact Human Resource Services of Uniting Resources to obtain details of scheduled fees for the Panel of Preferred Recruitment Providers;
- Contact the preferred recruitment provider, identify that the employer is a member of the Uniting Church in Australia NSW Synod and advise details of the position to be recruited; and
- Provide preferred recruitment provider with the following documentation:

- Position Description, including Position title and to whom the position reports to
- Organizational Chart
- Salary Range
- Expected start date
- Hours of work
- Brief description of culture of area recruiting.
- Liaison in respect to the provision of services will be between the employer and the recruitment provider.
- All accounts for the provision of services will be in accordance with the fee structure nominated in the recruitment providers RFI and will be sent direct to the employer for settlement.
